Forest Discovery Center

Now Open Fridays & Saturdays 12 pm-4 pm

Our small nature center serves as a place where community members, young and old, can explore, learn about, and become better stewards of the ACFL.

We look forward to seeing you soon at the Forest Discovery Center at 404 Commercial Avenue, Anacortes. 

At the Forest Discovery Center you will find:

• A classroom to host existing programs such as our Naturalist Club and Trail Ambassadors, as well as become a home for future community workshops, lectures, and additional youth art and science programs

• Exhibits on the history of the ACFL, forest ecology, and rotating interactive youth and community partnership displays

• A “home base” for forest users to find maps, hike recommendations, and other guided activities in the ACFL

• Updates on Friends’ upcoming community & youth events and programming in the forest
