Join Friends of the ACFL for our May family hike to celebrate our birds and the migrations they make to join us each springtime. During this bird bonanza, we’ll look and listen for some of our common forest birds, learn about why and how birds move during the year, and step into the shoes (or rather wings) of our feathered friends to play our own migration game.
This hike is ideal for families with kids ages 0-10 and will include a slow, easy walk to accommodate our smallest hikers, a break for snack and story time, and a thematic craft or science activity. We welcome all who are looking to explore the forest with us, but please note that this hike will be at a much slower pace than our other community hikes.
